General hotel reservations begin February 1 -- Westin suite reservations are re-opened (limited supply)
**EDIT** We have a very few suites still available at the Westin. Currently only corner suites (king beds) and workout suites (also king beds) are free.
Anthrocon's hotel rooms are not yet available for reservations! On February 1, 2013*, at 11:00 AM EST, we will throw open the doors for people to make reservations at the Westin Convention Center (our flagship hotel), as well as our all-within-easy-walking-distance satellite hotels, the Doubletree, Courtyard, Hampton Inn, Marriott and Omni William Penn.
Reservations for Westin Hotel suites (and ONLY SUITES) can be made starting...now! Suites are deluxe rooms as described below and are more expensive than regular hotel rooms, which this year will be about $152 ($172 with tax) per night. We make these available early because of the high demand. Remember, only suite reservations at the Westin are being accepted at this time. Regular room reservations begin on February 1.
In order to secure a suite, you must send an email to ceo(at)anthrocon.org with the phrase WESTIN SUITE REQUEST in the subject line. Once again: send an email, not a private message. Include the full (real) name that the reservation will be under, and – very important – include your Anthrocon 2013 membership number which was sent to you by email when you submitted your registration. We will send you back an email with instructions on how to go about reserving a suite through our special contact at the Westin.
If you did not receive or have misplaced your registration confirmation email, you can either use our registration verification utility or you can email us at registration-2013(at)anthrocon.org and we will tell you. If you have not registered for Anthrocon 2013 yet...well, what are you waiting for? Get to it! Just click here!
Here are descriptions of the Westin’s suites and the 2013 prices for Anthrocon members. Prices shown in parentheses are the total approximate price with tax included. You can click on each name for a floorplan, or use the links at the bottom of the page.

Do these rooms have a higher occupancy limit than the 4 persons allowed in regular hotel rooms? If so, can you add those figures to the room descriptions?
Fire marshall says 4 people in any given room. So it remains at 4. If you have a two-room suite, you can have 4 people per room.
How long is it supposed to be for us to get a response after we've emailed you? Just trying to plan my day
Give me at least 2 days. My mailbox is being deluged. This hasn't happened before.
Oh jeez, didn't think many people wanted these....
Ok, I checked my email before reading your response and panicked a bit and sent out another request. Sorry for adding to the pile. Will wait for response.
Was wondering why the parlor suites are
only available for Thursday to Monday? I have plans to arrive at the hotel on
Wednesday and was looking to reserve the room for all 5 nights rather than just
the 4 nights. It is looking as though I will need to make other arrangements
for my Wednesday night stay.
I can't say for certain but consider: there are people in the hotel before and after Anthrocon. It's possible that the parlor suites are filled by prior guests through Wednesday and have been reserved by others starting on Tuesday. Many cons I've attended in the past haven't had any suites available for attendees at all.
Also I was wondering if super sponsors will also get first bibs on the suites as well? Or just how will the selection process go as to who will get what suites?I have contacted the hotel and they say they have a total of 6 parlor rooms avainable, If more than six people request one of these parlor rooms how will it be decided who gets them?
Nobody gets priority on these. I suspect once emails are sent out it'll be first come first serve.
I sent email with the title WESTIN SUITE REQUEST back on December 26 to ceo(at)anthrocon.org with Full Name and Con' Badge number.
Now I'll just wait 'till something shows up in my mailbox and take it from there......nothing, yet.
Generally it is best not to send the request for the suite until Uncle Kage officially opens up the reservations on the suites. Uncle Kage has plenty of work to do without having to worry about keeping track of emails people send him well before the reservations actually open up.
I wait patiently for your email, Dr.
I received the email last night and looking into the Family Suite, but just have one question to be sure I'm not doing anything wrong.
I have (at the moment) total of 6 in our group.
The information, if I read it correctly, there is a limit of 4 people per room.
A two room Family Suite (if I got this correctly) would mean a total of 8 people would be allowed... ( 2 rooms x 4 people = up to 8 )
If the above is correct, then...
Would I be able to reserve the Family Suite, book with Westin and say it will be for 6 and get a key-card for each?
BTW: Interesting note at the bottom for this room here....
NOTE: Rooms on the 25th floor have balconies that provide a fine view of Pittsburgh but which are not accessible. Blame the person who decided to set up a barbecue grill out there.
I would have to say yes, on a side note call now. Almost all the suites are booked, including the parlor ones (I called this morning @9am and she had almost nothing left).
And as for 6 key cards it depends if they have limited editions like they have in that case it was 4 per reservation I believe. But extra were avaliable in the normal card kind. Had the issue last year when I had 11 in the 2 bedroom suite and only four of the anthrocon keycards, rest were normal westin print.
This a bit late, but when reading your reply to me...
...on a side note call now. Almost all the suites are booked, including the parlor ones (I called this morning @9am and she had almost nothing left).
...I immediately called Westin and reserved a Suite. From what I was told when making the reservation, about the only thing left were Corner Suites late that day. Was waiting to hear back from my group after sending them the Suite information and asking what to get, but your post had me call before everyone gave me a reply....glad I did or it could have been sold out.
Thank You Very Nice for your information that Suites were almost gone!
BTW Still have not heard back from two of 'em!
Your welcome, I was hoping to get the 2-bedroom parlor and was dismayed at the sell out rate of the room. Going to plan this differently next year. While I have to now reserve a separate room for my sponsor at least he was good about the whole thing.
BTW as one that has done the suites for now three yrs running. Take a deposit from those that want a space, this keeps them honest and hopefully will help in the money situation, also if the spaces aren't filled by May, post in the forums you have space. You'll fill pretty fast and it will give you time to get to know the furs before they arrive.
If you want any other help just send me a PM.
Family Suites are gone. Just booked a corner suite for July 2nd through the 8th.
My plan is to arrive on the 2nd, rest that evening and then see if Anthrocon can use me on anything to help with the setup for the Con' the next day, etc....
....could you use some help from a Toony lookin' Wolf?
We can definitely use your help on Wednesday. Around 10:00 Am the truck will be arriving and that will need to be unloaded. Then in the evening we need help with filling con bags. Just show up to con ops in the morning and we can get you set up.
I reserved a two bedroom parlor suite
yesterday. I did not mention how many others would be in the room nor did I
mention any other names, as I was not asked. I currently have six persons
staying including myself, expecting to fill the other slots soon. I also did
not ask about the key cards, it will be nice to get a convention key card but
not necessary, if I get one great, if not no big deal. I will be there early
enough that they should still have some at the time I check in.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
SIDENOTE: Prices posted in this thread for rooms just a few dollars more than what is in the pdf file sent me about the Suites.....assume these may be last years con prices.
Yes, my company took away my PDF-editing software. It was either delay the notifications by a day until I could fix the PDF, or send it out as-is and hope that nobody noticed it had last year's prices on it.
It was noticed....No biggy though, the prices were right on the web site here, so that was the main thing.
Hopefully 1 bedroom parlor suites are available.
I got my email and sadly will have to opt for a regular room. The roommates I had lined up for the suite saw their potential payshare of the room and bailed on me due to costs.
I couldn't get the two bedroom so now it makes more sense to reserve two regulars for my party so everyone has bed space. Maybe next year, fancy suites.
damn, I need Westin.
Suite reservations for the Westin are once again available (see instructions above). Only corner suites and workout suites are available; both of these have a single king bed.
Just sent an email ....tempted to try for a workout suite but I think the only thing I'll be working out at Anthrocon will be my liver ... assuming it survives FWA and Furdu >.<
Sent an email for a corner suite. Looks like you haven't marked them as full yet. Hoping that's the case. :3
are there still corner suites avalible uncle kage?
