Hotel information for Anthrocon 2013 now available (but no reservations yet)!

We have posted the rate information and other details about our six (count'em, six!) hotels this year: the Marriott City Center, the Doubletree Downtown Pittsburgh, The Omni William Penn, the Hampton Inn, The Courtyard by Marriott, and our flagship hotel, the Westin Convention Center. The main hotel jump page can be accessed by clicking the "Hotels" link under "Information" on the bar at left, or simply by clicking here. Note that the big link to the Passkey system will not be active until February 1 at 11:00 AM EST. We will also be posting that information on Facebook, Twitter and on Livejournal just in case you aren't able to visit us here that day.
Please note that you cannot make individual hotel reservations by clicking any specific hotel links on this site. Everything is being handled by the Passkey system this year, and if you try to navigate to any of the hotel pages on February 1 you will not find any information about reserving a room.
1) Does this Passkey entity have any provisions for us to book our reservations via telephone, as the hotels themselves do?
2) If not, is there any place where we can access their Terms of Service (TOS) and their Privacy Statement, prior to the reservation link being opened ?
3) Do they charge for this, like other third-party reservation/ticket systems, such as TickeTron?
4) Is this the same business which handled the new room reservation system for FURther CONfusion for their 2012 convention?
Don't know the answers for 3 & 4 but according to the membership confirmation letter I received in the mail a couple days ago there will be a phone number for reservations. The letter states that on February 1st they will be releasing a link to the website and phone number. I also found a privacy policy and terms of use on their website at http://www.passkey.com/legal/privacy_policy/ .
Might have to moshpit it out for one I think the suites are all gone...

Our empire is growing... GROWING! Six hotels... Pittsburgh loves us as much as we love them.
(And that's a lot of love!)
It looks like the rates have gone up. Anywere from 10-15 dollars

*Puts on bi-focals, and does some calculating...*
Try "four".
Uhm - perhaps my claws are not catching the right beads on my abacus. Or perhaps I am reading the prices wrong, somehow?
(...Admittedly - I am only looking at the prices for the Omni William Penn...)
Are you still using an abacus
ill buy you a calculator
THANK you for posting this
Kage you are awesome AWESOME
Here have some wine on me

Hope this system will work out fine. Last year I made the mistake of continuing to try the Westin (froze up) only to find out later they had already sold out; tried Doubletree, also froze but I got a live person on the phone at Doubletree and got room that way--after several minutes as their comp. system was goofing up. I was thinking of Hampton as it seems fairly close to the Con but it also seems the most expensive; Westin and Courtyard should go fast. May try Doubletree again (C is for Cookie!) etc.
Keep in mind the new Marriott is right behind the Doubletree (I thought I saw part of it when I went to the Doubletree's pool) and the Omni is not far away either, so DT, Marriott and Omni are all within one general area, a slight walk away. Have stayed at Westin, Omni, and DT and all were fine.
The prices given with tax are a good indication of what to expect. It's just like flights or car rentals--be sure you know what you're in for with fees and taxes added in. Save up you money and def. consider roomsharing to bring that price down.

Crap... went to go do some math on nights to stay but rates are down.... Anyone remember the numbers for the hotel rates?
Rates per night before taxes:
Courtyard - $143
Doubletree - $136
Hampton - $173
Marriott Pittsburgh Center - $141
Omni - $149
Westin - $152
Remember to add 14% for the taxes.
Thank you very much.
Just like the theme for this Con' "The Fast and the Furrious" ...these rooms for the Westin/Courtyard, especially the quads.....went fast!
Salem
.....oh, nice to see this website is still working!
Need some help cleanin' up after all the fur flying around?
Well, that worked splendid!
So well, in fact, that I had to double check myself to see if I'd missed anything! :jawdrop: To the AC staff: GREAT JOB, Y'ALL!
Got in right away to doubletree and got a double (2 beds). Quads prob did go very fast as do/did double rooms. We'll have to see how fast it takes for Westin to completely sell out (Courtyd did I think), Remember you have those three hotels in close proximity to each other (Omni, Marriot City Ctr, Doubletree) and then you have the Hampton if you're unsuccessful with Westin or Courtyard.
Twitter updates:
Westin is only sold out on Thursday, Courtyard only on Sunday. We can try to add rooms to those nights. Try booking a shorter stay!..Our website peaked at 1,400 connections at 11 AM. A new record. Held up much better this year. Yay for putting assets on AWS S3.,,Reminder: if you're not sure who will be in your room yet, you can put "pending" or similar for their names and change them later.
keep following Twitter for updates; This from Kage
>Courtyard full; Westin only has kings (Sunday is sold out but we can possibly add rooms.

You BLEEP! You posted the rates while I was telling someone the rates hadn't been announced yet!
