I am trying to get to AC from the Pacific Northwest. I am in Northern Idaho, about 70 miles south of I-90.

I think the best I can offer is to give rides to up to 6 people who wish to drive out there. I am flat broke because my ex ripped me off, so I can't even afford gas. But I figure if anyone wants to go, we can split the fuel cost. If there are people wanting to bring lots of fursuits, we can rent a trailer cheaply and get all our luggage there.

I have a 1991 diesel Suburban that seats 7. It's a 3/4 ton, and can haul anything. It gets 23mpg. So, if you want to get there, and want to do it cheap, I'm you man. I am perfectly fine with driving up to 12 hour stretches, so if everyone wanted to go straight through, it would be doable as long as I got another driver.

Let me know.

Otherwise, if you're driving out there, by all means, my thumb is out, and my skirt lifeted. I have 3-4 fursuits, maybe more to bring (some to sell).

So, I did some calculations.

I have a diesel, it gets 23mpg highway. Diesel is $2.83/gallon here, less along the way... I calculated that its 2204 miles from Spokane to Pittsburg. 4408 miles round trip at 23mpg with a cost of $2.80/gallon means $536 round trip for fuel. With 6 people, that's about $100 each round trip.

We can of course make stops along the way. I estimate 36 hours to get there, assuming I can have someone help with the driving.

I may be flying out there courtesy of a close friend, so if you are interested, better let me know yesterday. The more friends, the cheaper the cost.

Just to give you a heads up, here in Wisconsin, which is along the I90 route, gas is over $3.00, here in Milwaukee to be exact gas is over $3.50.

Gas is $3.27 and up here.

Diesel is what I said my rig takes. It's $2.83/gallon here, and I expect it to be lower at my fuel stops along the way.

If you'd have read the posting, you'd have seen that I use diesel, not gas. Please be a bit more diligent when posting replies, thank you.

With 6 people and all their gear, are you still going to get 23mpg? That's at least 1000-1500 pounds extra.

My mileage may decrease slightly, but not by much. This is a diesel rig. When I drove from San Diego to Alabama with four adults, 2 children, 4 dogs, 3 1/2 cats and all of our luggage, including stuff on ther roof, I took a 4mpg hit driving 80mph hour.

When I calculated the fuel cost, I added a fudge factor of $60 (the actual calculated cost is $536 round trip.)

There may be an increase, but it will only be in the range of $50-100 tops. $640 split six ways isn't much more than $540 split six ways...$15 more to be exact.

Airfare from Spokane at its cheapest is about $450. And you can't split that.

Hope that information helps.

I might need a ride. I'm in oregon, so I'd have to drive and park in idaho and meet up with you if thats alright. I would need someplace good to park for the time if you know anywhere in the area.

Also what city are you near? I kind wanna get an idea of how far I'd need to drive by myself.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, I'm kind of curious as to how old everyone in this car pool is gonna be.
