I will be running demos for the Rage CCG at Anthrocon again this year. Rage is a game of savage werewolf combat based on Werewolf: the Apocalypse. Take control of a pack of werewolves as they use might and magic to defeat the evil forces of the wyrm!

I have requested time for two demos. Experienced players are welcome to attend to get in on a casual game and get a refresher on rules. There is a rules update due out in August you may wish to check out. Currently the Revised Rules are in open beta testing.

You can read the rules book online here (revised rules): http://www.werepenguin.net/rage/rules/revised.html

I will also be hosting a tournament. Rather than making people bring decks, this year I will be running a pre-release draft tournament. You'll be drafting cards from the next set, Rainmakers, which features the Ajaba (werehyenas), Mokole (crocodiles), and Pentex (wyrm) duking it out for control of eastern Africa and Egypt.

You'll get a deck plus a draft of cards from Rainmakers to build a deck with in the first half hour of tournament. Then you fight and see who can build the best deck under pressure and with limited resources! (yes, you may trade cards with other players at tournament)

All cards will be provided for both events.

If you want to take a look at the cards for Rainmakers before that, they're available for open Beta testing now:
http://www.werepenguin.net/rage/open/

You can play Rage online using the Gatling Engine. There's a regular Friday night game that's new player friendly. We're happy to teach rules. You can also beta test the Rainmakers cards online.
Download program here:

Want practice drafting before the tournament? there's an online draft tournament on the Gatling Engine now through July. You can leap into tournament at any point due to the sliding scoring.

The game is currently out of print, but you can still find it very easily on Ebay. I also sell Rage through my business:
http://www.rainydaypaperback.com/files/buyrage.html

You can get nice rundown of ebay stuff that shows country of origin by title here:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype=ebay&sortby=recent&objectid=2133&objecttype=game

(it just shows the rage stuff. It gets updated every two days or so to include all the rage stuff currently on ebay)

There should also be a box of Unlimited in the charity auction at anthrocon.

Everybody that comes to a demo will get to go home with a deck.

You can also print out a bunch of the sets as PDFs.

The demo will be 10PM to Midnight on Saturday.

Tournament doesn't seem to have made schedule. Oh well.

I will bring along some of the Rainmakers cards that will be released in August to the demo so that any experienced players that show up can have a crack at playing with them. You know you want to try out the new hyenas!
