Fursuit Games Thread!
Posted by RoninOtter on Mon, 2007-01-29 17:53|
Hello everyone! This year, I will be on premises for the entire duration, so it’s up to me to try and do at least half as good a job as Lucky pulled off for us. Some of you might be asking “What in the world are the fursuit games?” Good question! The answer is: “A group participation event at the con which will be comprised of several team-based physical challenges.” This can be easily translated to “A bunch of fursuiters running around in a semi-organized fashion to accomplish the vague outlines of a goal, while probably cheating and having a bunch of fun in the process.” The fursuit games are, obviously, for people in fursuit only, whether partial or full. The games will be comprised of numerous relay races, silly stunts, and games you might remember playing in your younger days. Performing these seemingly simple tasks while wearing a restrictive costume makes them much more challenging, and therefore makes the ensuing antics really fun to watch for everyone involved! |

Headless Lounge Exposed?
Posted by The Playwright (The Playwright) on Fri, 2010-01-08 15:24|
Last year while wandering about, I was struck by how exposed the Headless Lounge was ... from what I can gather, it's for 'suiters to have someplace to go to escape the heat and have some privacy, but it being so close to the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom, a lot of people go past it during the day and the doors seem to be wide open most of the time. It just struck me a few minutes ago that, "Well, why not just hang a curtain over the door so it's easy to get in and out, but still have some privacy, too?" Surely, that'd be an easy enough grab, right? =) * And yes, I'm fishing for an Airplane comeback here. ;D |
The mirror?
Posted by Trpdwarf (Trpdwarf) on Thu, 2009-10-29 12:04|
I think this is the right place to suggest this. Remember that mirror that we had in the smaller head-less lounge? Is there a chance at moving it to the bigger lounge where it will get more use for AC 10? Or getting another so there is one in the bigger headless lounge? The mirror is a wonderful idea and a nice thing to have, but somehow I'd think it more practical to have it set up in the main headless lounge, the bigger one. |
Sym Masquerade 2008
Posted by Sym (Sym) on Tue, 2009-07-07 02:20|
As I understand that the masquerade is no longer being offered as a DVD to purchase at the con store. Can I please either have posted to YouTube or get an emailed copy of my skit performance from the masquerade in 2008, it is not listed with the current set of videos under the anthrocon channel. Thanks. |

Question about the parade

Hi all, |
Question - would a costumed handler be allowed in the parade?
Posted by Izzie on Tue, 2009-06-23 17:53|
Hi there Here's the dealio. I'm planning on wandering around the convention in my German shepsuit with my buddy dressed as a K-9 officer. Would this also be allowed during the parade or are only suits allowed? -Thanks |
Pretty impressive to see from up there! Here's the thumbnail...
