I heard that some hotels will put an immediate charge on your credit card when you make a reservation. Do I have to worry about that?
I tried to make a reservation online and it said the hotel was sold out. What do I do?
I want to reserve a room, but I do not have (or do not want to use) a credit card. What do I do?
How many people are we allowed to have in a hotel room?

Not able to find the type of room you want at the Westin or at the Omni? Fear not! Here are some other hotels nearby. We are not able to provide special convention rates for these hotels (but we are working on the Doubletree); however, by making your reservations online, you can still enjoy discounted web-rates.

PLEASE NOTE: We expect there to be cancellations at the Westin and the Omni, particularly around the end of April and beginning of May when the room deposits are due. Check back periodically at those two hotels to see if rooms have freed up. We

Due to the number of last-minute cancellations our hosts have endured in the past, a deposit is now required for reservations in the Anthrocon room block. Here is how it works:

Just across the street (accessible by a convenient skybridge) is the Westin Convention Center Hotel. Anthrocon has arranged a flat rate of $115 per night (plus 14% city and state occupancy tax), single/double/triple/quad (all rooms are non-smoking). Reservations for this hotel can be made online just by clicking the above link, or by calling 412-281-3700. Make sure to mention ANTHROCON when making your reservation, and be sure to write your confirmation number down and keep it in a safe place!

IMPORTANT: A non-refundable deposit will be collected on or about April 25, 2008, for each reservation. Please see this link for more information.

As of January 12, 2008, the Westin is FULL. A waiting list is in place. Call the hotel directly, ask for in-house reservations, give them your arrival and departure dates and ask to be put on the waiting list. There are no guarantees that rooms will become available, so we recommend reserving at the Omni Hotel; just do not forget to cancel any other reservations you may have made if a room opens up at the Westin.

This magnificent structure is Anthrocon's home. Located in Pittsburgh's "Golden Triangle," the David L. Lawrence Convention Center sits in the heart of the city's cultural district. Nearby are more than 90 places to eat, enough to satisfy any appetite or budget, as well as the Carnegie Science Center, Point State Park, PNC Park (home of the Pittsburgh Pirates), and the one, the only, the actual KWIK-E-MART! The DLCC offers something that no other Anthropomorphics convention has had before: almost infinite space to grow! We hope to see you there this Summer.

Our rate is $110 per night for one or two people, $112.50 for three, and $115 four four (plus 14% occupancy tax for all rooms -- ignore the $110/$115 rate quoted on the Omni reservation page).
