Well, all checked in, and flopped lazilly sucking up the internets as I recover from the great journey here from Pensacola FL.. I was wondering if any other furs might happen to be staying here at the doubletree as well? Was just curious as I've not seen any sign of furs here, but am to understand that quite a few used this as an overflow. Of course, alot of this may have to do with me being here a day before the con .. so.. heh. Who knows ? But, if anyone happens to be attending and staying at this hotel it would be fun to hang out. The Meetup is returning to Anthrocon! Join WikiFur's administrators and contributors this Friday from 8PM-11:30, as we discuss the future of furry fandom's encyclopedia.

A key topic will be our upcoming host change. We'll be talking about why we're moving, where we're going, and what you can do to help (hint: use en.wikifur.com in links from now on).

We'll also be tackling issues of policy and organization, and making plans for upcoming projects and events, including WikiFur's third anniversary celebrations. There'll be plenty of time for other topics, too - so if you've got questions, drop by and speak up!

Update: With the schedule now finalized, I would like to set the Geek Meet for 5PM @ the Zoo (Edit: Allegheny Ballrooms II and III, 3rd floor of the Westin) after which we can grab a bite to eat wherever the general consensus is! I think this should be a good time because we'd be back in time for the Alexander Adams concert, which I personally want to attend, but let me know if this time sounds good/you'd like to go ^_^

Well since I don't know anyone and will be attending the con by myself, I'd like to maybe have a get-together where I could make some friends with similar interests I'm frequently available to chat on AIM as well.

I'd like to host a small tea party (for ladies and gentlemen both) on Sunday evening. Refreshments include cookies, cake and tea. I can supply the food and the tea service. The only thing I lack is a room to hold it in. So I'm taking Greyhound bus to the con, and I was wondering if any other furs are aswell. Since I'm traveling alone, it'd be great to meet a furry on the bus, to have someone to talk with and such. I'm leaving from Fargo, ND on June 24th at 8AM, And I'll be switching busses in Chicago on June 24th 11:25Pm.

Also, if anyone wants to hang out on Wednesday around noon or later, (or anytime during the con for that matter) that'd be great aswell. I don't really know many furs that are going, and I'd love to meet some new furs.

Culinary or Food Service Furries?

Im a recent Johnson and Wales Grad student and i just love cooking just about anything. Ive been working in diffrent kitchens the past few years and for anyone who has worked behind the line, a whole lot can happen. so im sitting here watching rhps with my sis and im informed that the pittsburgh theater called "the oaks" is playing it the same weekend as AC, midnight as per normal, not sure yet if its friday or saterday, we are looking to find that.

Well, I wasn't sure which Sub-Forum to put this under (Misc, General, Meet at Con, or Ride Share) so I'm just guessing on this one.

Anyways, my spotter and I will be leaving Wednesday from Manassas at around 5am. I am not offering a ride (hence not sure where to put this topic) however I'm looking to see if anyone else in the general area plans on leaving the same day and same time. If so, why not organize a convoy up there? I figured it'd be worth a shot in asking. Hey, no shame in asking, right?

It's on holiday drive. I'm quite sure there will be other furs there but I'd like to know who they are because me and my mate won't have a ride to the convention center. I've never been to Pittsburgh so I don't know what the travel is like there. But I figured it would be much easier if there were other furries there anyway going to the con.
