Hi, and welcome to the 2008 edition of the Anthrocon Charity Auction Followup! First, the bad news: The Charity Auction had the lowest return this year since 1999, we're sorry. There were issues, we know - some we could've fixed, others out of our hands. We are working to change for 2009. We have plans - BIG plans - that should turn things around on many levels. Stay tuned! And now the good news: We raised a total of $3,982 for Pittsburgh Parrot Rescue, our charity this year! They also benefited from donations at their Dealers' Room table to the tune of $1,102! Kage & 2's charity benefit performance raised $3,040! Dr. Gerbasi's survey team donated $130! Anthrocon provided a matching (sorta) donation of $5,000! |

Thank you all for helping make the Anthrocon 2000 Charity Auction a tremendous success! The donations made to help the National Greyhound Adoption Program raised over $6500! For comparison, last year we raised $3800, an all-time record for any furry convention. This year simply blew that old record out of the water thanks to the generosity of our bidders and yourselves. Below is an accounting of the donations, their donors, and their sale prices at the Charity Auction. They are probably not in sale order: |

Hi, and welcome to the 2005 edition of the Anthrocon Charity Auction Followup!
We raised a very satisfactory total of $6,470 for our charity this year, Greater Philadelphia Search & Rescue. They also raised additional donations from the sale of "Search Critter" vests, donations at their table, and additional funds contributed during the auction - these will be reported at a later date (I wanted to get the Auction data out ASAP).

Hi, all! First off, I must confess that I lost my notes from the Charity Auction. I would have been completely bereft of any sort of Charity Auction summary if it hadn't been for the timely assistance of Joe Seibert (note his generous cash donation around the 2/3rds mark) who responded to my plea on a.f.f. and produced a full VHS video of the Charity Auction and mailed it to me out of the goodness of his heart. From it, I was able to piece together the majority of the auction except for a few donors' names that weren't said or I |

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Anthrocon 2001 Charity Auction this year for donating money by purchasing items, donating items, and volunteering to make yet another record-setting total of $7273! My thanks to Kagemushi for co-auctioneering, the hard-working volunteers for running the items and guarding the Charity Auction tables, and to Reins of Life, our Charity this year, for participating. Due to time constraints (we went 50 minutes overtime and ended barely 10 minutes before the Masquerade), some items had to be combined with |
