Overview: To declare your intent to participate in the Anthrocon Masquerade, please email us stating your name, email address, character name and a description of the skit/performance/act you will be performing. Please be sure to read the FAQ below as well as the rules.


  • What is the Anthrocon Masquerade?
  • The Anthrocon Masquerade is an event designed to provide amateur and professional costumers and visual artists a showcase in which to demonstrate creative performance and presentation skills. The Masquerade is the prime location to express yourself through these particular talents by providing entertainment for the Anthrocon attendees.

  • Can I perform in the Masquerade without a costume?

Anthrocon Masquerade Rules & Regulations (2008 v10.0)

  • The Masquerade is a Variety Show-style event where costumers can show off their costuming performance and visual media skills for the convention attendees. This is not a competition; our Masquerade is not a judged event, and there are no awards or prizes.
  • In all performances, at least one participant must have a costume. For this event, "costume" is defined as wearing a significantly anthropomorphic disguise.
