Smash Bros. Melee has been a popular game in past conventions, and I'm sure Brawl will be no different. Are there plans for a tourney, or at the very least, some four-way brawls open?

Hello there, my name is Brenna and I'll be at Anthrocon this year with my dad and I just wanted to meet some furries here before I get to AC and have to meet people XD I am a very shy person unless I kind of in a way know the person!

Anyway, this will be my first time at Anthrocon me and my father will be staying at a friends house in Pittsburgh and will be traveling by train(thanks AC for that AMTRAK discount!)and if you guys wanna look for me I will be the short possibly pink and blue haired girl with a tag that says Brenna and a homemade tag that says "Myscal"

Remember, you must be a fursuiter yourself or have one staying in your room, and you must already have a confirmed Westin reservation.

Fursuit Pattern Design & Material Layout question

I have a body design question for those of you that have made fursuits. When creating the pattern for your suit, do you strive to use as few and as large and continuous pieces of material as possible to minimize the number of seams? Or do you use numerous "panels" of material which create a more shaped, tailored body look?

I was wondering because in my pattern design I was initially attempting to have as few seams as possible, each leg was one piece of material that extended all the way up to include the body as well. However, this approach might be potentially wasteful as far as laying it out on the material; using more, smaller panels might make more efficient use with less leftovers. Perhaps I should make a "top" (fur shirt) and "bottoms" (fur pants) and then sew them together instead of trying to make as large a seamless piece of material from top to bottom as possible. Or not?

I know I could do either, but for best results, what do you think? Any opinions on this?

Finally after 4 and a half long years my duty to the United States Air Force has ended, and I get to attented anthrocon 2008, yippie.

Lil about me, some or more of you allready know me, but I used to live in MD, joined up with the USAF, moved to Nebraska, went to mff, deployed lots. 2 years later, moved to japan, went to camp feral, deployed lots more. On my last deployment, then moving to beloved PA in a few months.

around me, depending on what gas station you hit.. they are in the $3.59-3.75 range as of last night.

Strange dreams

its been on and off for a while now, I've been having dreams about people wondering around different places in fursuits all different mind you, but thats not the odd thing.

The odd thing is this, In these dreams (I offical of waking about 5 mintues ago had three this month) there is this one female fursuiter who was in all three, She was a pink tiger with dark pink stripes, now I never seen a suit like that in any con vids, any sites or in person and last time I seen the same thing three times in a dream I seen it irl (I had a dream about this person three times and I met them at school .. Messed up eh?)

So I'm wondering, anyone know of any one with a pink tiger fursuit and dark pink stripes? o.o

Do you think furs would still make the pilgrimage to AC or any other furry convention if say Mel Gibson's classic Mad Max like future came to be? Ya it might be rough to ride to Pittsburgh on horseback or in modified dune buggies and we might not quite see 3000 furs but would you still come? I'd sure as hell try. And not them I'm saying what next year's theme should be... but just because there's no gas doesn't mean furrys will go extinct... right?

Well... it's not the best hotel when it comes to being close to teh convention center but what can you do at this point in time?

I have a car so chances are I'll be driving to and from daily so I don't have to walk.

Spaces open: 2 MAYBE 3 depending.
I've the room booked Thursday through Sunday for 4 people; 3 minues myself. Rough guesstimate of cost per person is $136 (that is if you check in and out when I do). Why does it cost anything? Cause I'm poor and I'm looking to split the cost of the room amongst the 4 of... us.

Sketching at the con

Am I allowed to do sketches for other people if they ask or if I offer? I won't charge so I wont be selling but could I like just walk into some room start drawing and if someone asks make something for them?

Well seeing as how RoadCon kinda fell apart at the seems (cardboard and scotch tape doesn't hold very well) I guess I'll have to go with Plan B. Plan be is simply "Do any of you bitches still need a ride to AC?" Cause I'm still going and gas prices I'm betting will be about 4.20 a gallon by the time AC rolls around. Hell, it's almost $4 right now. So ya same ride as mentioned in the RC thread: roomy police cruiser can carry up to three people. I would really like at least 2 riders because I'm looking at about $300 in gas both ways.

As a side note, not to kill the RoadCon thread completely I'm going to take info here since the last thread got a little complicated for me to read, sue me. So if any of those drivers or passengers would still like to meet or need a ride let me know.

I'll accept most passengers as long as 1. they pay for some gas and 2. they don't have alot of junk to carry to and from the con (unless I get only one person)

Well see... its complicated. lol. i do have a car, gas moneys, can drive, etc. however i don't have my license yet. I hope to be getting it later this month. but if i don't, from where i stand right now, I would be SOL for the con. So I'm really hopping to find some one else close by that has there license and wants to ride with me. or let me ride with them. I can drive. but thats a loong trip for a newbie. so even if i DO get my license and CAN drive the whole way by my self. some company would be great =^_^= im nearly always at my computer, IM me anytime. realllly hope to find some one soon.

the next installment of my Anthrocon chronicle (Episode 4).

This is Werewolf:the Apocalypse, using the Mind's Eye Theatre 2nd edition rules, modified for faster play. (As a veteran PLAYER, I found this specific set of rules favours the PLAYERS the most.) Those of you without a copy of the rulebook will be able to find the rules on this thread. (I can email a "player packet" file on request.) Also, this being the internet, there's many links I shall be linking for further information.
