Travel By Airplane

The nearest airport is Pittsburgh International Airport, airport code PIT.

From the airport, get onto PA route 60 SOUTH. After about 2.5 miles the road name changes to US route 30. Follow US 30 East for about 3.8 miles, when it changes again to I-279 N. Follow that about 6.3 miles, through the Ft. Pitt Tunnels and across the Ft. Pitt Bridge. Take Exit 6C, for Ft. Duquesne Blvd. Follow sign to Convention Ctr./Strip District on the 10th Street Bypass. The Convention Center on right, and is the size of a city block. It will be hard to miss.

The following options are available:

1. The 28X "Airport Flyer" Bus. Thanks to J.F. for pointing this out to us! It is convenient if you do not have a lot of luggage. It stops at 7th and Smithfield, about 3 blocks from the hotel. The driver can point you in the right direction when you get off. The fare is $2.60 -- have exact change ready! -- and the ride is approximately 40 minutes.

3. Taxi. You can catch a cab at the airport outside of baggage claim. The fare is approximately $30 to $35 each way.
