Telal Nergal

We were there in the beginning. The first ones, created by the Divine Mother to watch over and guard her other creations, and protect them from the Darkness and it's agents. We were made as no others. Ageless and timeless. We were made few, but were made far stronger. We could heal almost any wound. The only things that could truly kill us were fire and dismemberment. Most were sent into the Spirit Realm, for that was were the Darkness was at its strongest. A few, however, were left on Earth, for Darkness is everywhere. Twenty were chosen to stay, though they were all given a way out. A stone, imbued with our peoples essence, that when called upon would transport them back, though there could be no return to the earth. The people thought long and hard before making their decision. The twenty were chosen and named the Watchers, forever to guard the earth, alone. As goodbyes were made, a leader was appointed to lead this small pack. Telal Nergal, the Great Watcher.
