Anthrocon 2026 - Four Months to Go, So Much to Do!
It’s hard to believe we’re only four months out now and SO much has already happened - for better or worse! But the hardworking team at Anthrocon never stops, much like the creatures of mystery and legend that dwell in Pittsburgh.
Registration
Online pre-registration will be paused temporarily between March 8 and 10 to help support our General hotel block opening on March 10 (more information in the next section). After the opening, pre-registration will resume until March 10, 2026 OR if we reach our designated maximum capacity. For more information and to register, check out our Registration page’s “How to Register” section.
Hotel Accommodations
As with last month’s announcement, we had postponed the General hotel block opening to March 10 to allow for the hotel systems team to apply fixes to the system. The hotel booking link will be sent at 12 PM Eastern Time on March 10 to pre-registered Attending and Sponsor level groups - you will not receive a hotel link before then. No matter where you might end up staying during the con, we’re working to improve our courtesy transportation service for Anthrocon attendees. While we work on updating shuttle information for 2026, you can reference last year’s service as an example on our Shuttle Buses page.
Artists Alley
Our Artists Alley rules and process for 2026 is available on our site! The Artists Alley is a great way for budding artists to showcase their talents and artistic wares. The signups for the Artists Alley are a lottery, meaning that results are randomized and will be different for each day it’s open. Dance Competition Events, Panel and Performance Applications
Two of our biggest dance competition events, the Fursuit Dance Competition and Floor Wars, have now been updated on our website with 2026 information! If you’re an interested competitor waiting for their moment to shine on the brightest (and spookiest) stage in the fandom, don’t miss these opportunities. Applications for performing and hosting events are closing on March 6! Don’t wait any longer if you’re thinking of contributing your knowledge and/or skills to our community. Form links can be found on our Events page and our Stage Performances page.
For those looking to apply to Anthrocon Tonight, our signature stage show in a more intimate environment, a separate form will be announced in the coming months.
Advertising and Conbook Submissions
There are few better ways to market yourself or your business than at Anthrocon, where we have a literal city of furries reading and looking at all our material. If you’re interested in having your creative works or advertisements featured in our conbook or as paid advertising, our forms are now open online!

River Cruises
River Cruises tickets are still available for 2026! Whether you’re looking for awesome photo opportunities or want to enjoy beautiful sunset on the river, these cruises are a hot attraction for Anthrocon attendees. You can find all the updated pricing for tickets that set sail from Thursday to Sunday of the convention by going onto our Registration system and viewing the “Event Store”. Staff and volunteer opportunities
Even in a dark and spooky forest, a convention like Anthrocon shines the brightest when people step up and help it run smoothly. Every aspect of our event is run by volunteers of different levels; whether you’ve got years of experience, or are helping out for the first time. If you’re willing to contribute your time before or at the convention, let us know by completing the Volunteering section in our Registration system (you must create an account first)!
