Hello!

Currently I'm working on my first partial, and have finished foaming the indoor feetpaws and most of the balaclava-based head. Just yesterday I found more foam blocks laying around under my bed ( I don't have a very big amount of cash set aside for this, and get my foam from rectangular pencil cases ), so I added bigger cheeks on the head. I just did a bit of google images browsing for inspiration and realised that the cheeks might just be too big and the brows too small Sticking out tongue I'll try to upload an image later, once I can get on a computer. Should I try cutting off pieces of the cheeks to instead add to the brows (and enlarge the eyes at the same time)? And what would be a good material for making claw-fingers on the handpaws (guilmon style) as well as the pawpads for the feet (preferably something relatively inexpensive)? Finally, I made the nose with felt. Should I use something else?

Thank you in advance! Any advice and tips will be greatly appreciated Laughing out loud

Hey there!

I would advise, as far as cheek-sizing goes.. comparitively, you could try to stylize it to something that suits your flair. But if the difference is far too much I would say perhaps do some cutting and moving of foam. c:

I would suggest making the claws out of felt, or perhaps a low pile fur of the correct color.[seal maybe] I'd say with how guilmons claws look they're going to be your finger spots too so you might need to fiddle with sizing and how you'll separate your fingers c:

(Still can't really upload a photo of the wip)

Hey!

I've been doing a bit of trimming on the cheeks since I made this post and it's starting to look better and more balanced! Now to resize the brows~

So felt will indeed work then? Thanks a bunch! I'm decently good with a needle and thread and have gotten the patterns and stuff ready for the claws, so all set there C:

BTW is it okay if felt is also used for pawpads?(especially the feet. I need to know if the colours might fade with wear.)

Awesome Laughing out loud  I'm glad to hear you're getting along well.

Eeeee, I'd say it would from an appeaance standpoint. And it should be durable enough.

nwn I'll say felt on feet, any fabric on feet slips them into 'indoor only' and as with anything walked on they will slowly deterioate a bit, be it fading in color, or those darkness/stains/dirt that just won't ever really go away.
Felt on the hands should be fine c: [but similar to feet, it's just nature of stuff that will come in contact with stuff]  o3o

Thanks for your advice! Right now I'm looking around to buy fur for the suit. Everything else is finished and set for furring xD

I've been thinking about keeping the feetpaws indoor only and fashioning a pair of slippers to fit snugly on the paws if I ever decide to suit outdoors~

Actually I'm thinking about making the legs digitigrade but am really really uncertain since I'm currently unable to get anymore foam and if I really want that look. Thoughts?

I am 13 and wanted to know if I would be allowed to just wear a tail if I wore pants and a long sleeve shirt to cover my skin and just leave my head visible?

Hey I'm 15 I would like to know about what age should I be before I buy a full fursuit so I don't grown out of a $2000 suit. Also where do you think I'll be able to buy a fiursuit just like the one on my profile? I really want it, not just because I'm bisexual but also because I like rainbow.  Hug

The most important thing is that the growth spurt associated with puberty is over.  Unfortunately, this varies by individual.  A good guess would be 17 or 18.

If the fursuit shown in your icon belongs to someone else, please DON'T make yours "just like" it.  Fursuits are expressions of individual creativity and it's not fair to duplicate someone else's idea.  Despite all the Hollywood remakes...
